Docking Robotics is developing technology that enables robots to autonomously dock, recharge, exchange payloads, and operate together as coordinated systems. They are seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager Intern to work directly with their founders and engineering team, focusing on product strategy, engineering coordination, and technology commercialization.
Responsibilities
Help organize and coordinate hardware, software, and robotics development activities
Assist in defining product requirements, technical specifications, and development priorities
Maintain product roadmaps, development schedules, and milestone tracking
Facilitate communication between engineering teams and company leadership
Support sprint planning, task management, and project documentation
Help identify bottlenecks and improve team workflows
Conduct market research and competitive analysis within robotics and autonomous systems
Support customer discovery efforts and user feedback collection
Analyze emerging industry trends and potential market opportunities
Assist in defining product positioning and value propositions
Participate in strategic planning discussions with company leadership
Assist with investor materials, product presentations, and business documentation
Support pilot program planning and customer engagement initiatives
Contribute to internal processes as the company scales
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree, PhD, MBA, or relevant graduate program
Background in Engineering, Product Management, Technology Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Entrepreneurship, Business, or related fields
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Interest in robotics, AI, autonomous systems, aerospace, mobility, defense technology, or emerging technologies
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities
Self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of projects
Preferred
Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, Linear, or similar platforms
