Garmin is seeking a full-time Product Service Strategy Intern in their Olathe, KS location. The role involves performing manufacturing and distribution operations activities, including process design, cost/benefit analysis, and reporting results to management.
Responsibilities
Define key inputs into Product Service Plan for products in development cycle
Partner with Quality, Legal & OPS teams to capture sensitivities for product service and their impact on service strategy for the life of the product
Identify opportunities to reduce service & warranty costs for Garmin
Drive action with Engineering, S&OP to create service kits and instructions
Support the creation and improvement of customer facing support & service content
Partner with S&OP, OPS, Sales, and global offices to implement new value-added service channels
Partner with Engineering and IT in development of tools to support service activities
Effectively lead projects and drive improvements across cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Analytics, Business Administration or a related field
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail/quality
Preferred
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution operations
Fluent in statistical analysis
Speak, read, and/or write in Spanish, German, or French
