Align Technology is seeking a highly motivated and curious AI & Data Science Intern to join their team for the summer. The role involves working on projects that leverage data and AI to solve complex problems, while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define key business and clinical problems that can be solved with AI and data science.
Gather, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
Assist in building, training, and evaluating machine learning models and algorithms to address specific problems. This could include tasks like predictive modeling or computer vision.
Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing of models to ensure they are accurate, reliable, and ethical.
Visualize and present your findings and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling difficult challenges with a data-driven approach.
Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python or R, with experience in relevant libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning principles.
Experience with SQL for data querying.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
An eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, innovative environment.
