Subsea7 is seeking a Product Intern to learn product management methodologies and support subsea product development activities. The intern will assist with product documentation, performance databases, product structures, stakeholder feedback, cross-functional coordination, engineering reviews, and presentations under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Subsea7 product management methodologies, tools, and best practices under the guidance of an assigned mentor
  • Support the Product Management team in maintaining and improving product documentation, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Develop and update global product track records and performance databases
  • Assist the Product Lead in maintaining Product Breakdown Structures (PBS) and associated product information within Subsea7 systems
  • Gather, organize, and analyze stakeholder feedback to support product prioritization and decision-making activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Supply Chain Management, to ensure product requirements and objectives are clearly understood
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support product development initiatives and recommend enhancements
  • Gain exposure to subsea product design principles through the use of engineering tools, including parametric 3D modeling and structural analysis software, while developing an understanding of applicable industry codes and standards
  • Coordinate with engineering and drafting personnel to support the review of product-related documentation and drawings under supervision
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for Product Management leadership and business stakeholders
  • Present internship project findings, lessons learned, and recommendations to Product Management teams and company leadership at the conclusion of the internship

Qualification

Required

  • Minimum of enrollment in a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering program
  • Applicants should be within 1 year of graduation upon start of internship
  • Beginner level knowledge of ANSYS or Abaqus software
  • Aptitude and attitude to learn and experience seabed-to-surface engineering requirements, including installation techniques, software tools, and other technical issues
  • Ability to obtain, interpret and apply relevant information for formulating sound engineering solutions under the supervision of senior staff
  • Ability to identify and use appropriate methods, tools and best industry practices to perform engineering under supervision of senior staff
  • Ability to produce deliverables in a timely manner that are clear and accurate
  • Ability to develop working relationships through effective communication
  • Ability to apply logical analysis to break down problems and to develop solutions by creative thinking
  • Ability to pursue goals, plan, prioritize and organize work

Preferred

  • Civil, Mechanical, Ocean or Marine are preferred
