HarperCollins Publishers UK is seeking a Product Development Intern to join their Product Development team. This role offers the opportunity to gain insight into the publishing process while supporting the team with various administrative and editorial tasks.
Responsibilities
General administrative and editorial tasks involved with the setup and management of projects, as well as tasks post-publication
Support the team with ongoing project efficiencies and streamlining
Proofread and collate comments on book layouts in print and digital products
Maintain image licensing records and conducting picture research
Research potential authors and illustrators
Qualification
Required
Clear, effective and engaging communication skills
Unswerving attention to detail
Excellent organisation, time and resource management with realistic goals
Proactive in trouble-shooting and solving problems – knows when to seek guidance
Flexibility – ability to juggle a varied workload and prioritise
Confident with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Interest in education and working with educational resources such as Maths, Science, Geography resources and more
