KENT WORLDWIDE is looking for a PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT INTERN who is passionate about pets and eager to make a difference. This hands-on internship offers experience in market research, consumer insights, and product development, providing the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and explore product innovation.
Responsibilities
Conduct a thorough review of the competitive landscape and available solutions related to the key consumer needs
Identify whitespace opportunities and unmet needs to inform product innovation strategy
Identify key opportunities in the pet products market
Engage internal cross-functional teams to help identify potential solutions for these opportunities
Potential to coordinate and supervise activities with external agencies and partners
Help increase our understanding of how consumers experience pet products in the market today, including frustrations and aspirations
Investigate product claims, providing detailed insights that can directly impact our strategy
Qualification
Required
Working toward a degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, or Business with a Marketing focus
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Familiarity with conducting competitive analyses
Comfortable working independently when needed
Basic understanding of key marketing principles – completion of a minimum of two marketing or business-related classes
Comfortable with using Excel and PowerPoint or similar programs
