Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry, seeking a passionate Product Development Engineer Intern. The intern will participate in meaningful work related to planning, designing, and documenting hardware and software, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Participate in the planning, designing, and documenting of hardware and/or software through an iterative approach from concept to completion
Deliver sections of the hardware/software design and/or test documentation
Participate in team design sessions
Share and present findings to different teams
Qualification
Required
Must be a current student or recent graduate of a university or college
Minimum of a rising sophomore level
Coursework related to the internship role (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science)
Good written and verbal communication abilities
Formal or informal project development experience
Self-starter who works well independently – willing to roll up sleeves, adapt and grow
Passionate for Engineering and/or Computer Science, particularly communication
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in tools or software relevant to the role (Microsoft Office, Python or other programming languages, electronic instruments)
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams &/or CAD would be a plus
Soft Skills: teamwork, adaptability, strong communication across a global organization
Professional demeanor whether in person, via e-mail, or on the telephone
