AARP is leading a revolution in the way people view and live life after 50. The Product Development Intern will assist in identifying AI tools and developing prompts to enhance the team's capabilities and processes, while also owning product expansion assignments.
Responsibilities
Gain an understanding of the PD team’s goals, expected outcomes, processes, and deliverables
Research AI tools best suited to aid the PD team in accomplishing its goals
Develop prompts for each PD team capability that are meant to be recycled for new assignments
Own one or more PD assignment(s) to identify and/or execute a product expansion opportunity for the AARP Membership where the AI prompts are deployed as live use-cases, deliver on the assignment, as well as lessons learned from the use of the AI tools
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship
Pursuing a degree in business, data science, computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field
Proficient in AI platforms and tools
Experience with prompt engineering and integrating prompts for specific tasks
Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be a self-starter and adaptable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
Regular and reliable job attendance
Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships
In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise
Preferred
Certifications related to AI or prompt engineering are preferred but not required
