Central Garden & Pet is a market leader in the Garden and Pet industries, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern for their Product Data & Process Analyst role. The internship offers hands-on experience in optimizing product data management and documentation processes, aimed at improving team efficiency.
Responsibilities
Review existing product attributes and identify redundancies or outdated fields.
Collaborate with other PIM Team members to validate which fields or picklist values are still in use or needed.
Gather data and definitions from various teams and systems to populate a detailed data dictionary.
Create a structured, user-friendly resource that explains each field, its purpose, format, and relationships within the PIM.
Coordinate with PIM Architect to source accurate definitions and confirm alignment with system logic.
Support efforts to build a repeatable system for managing and update documentation and standards.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution across all projects
Support and shadow other PIM Team Members
Salsify Attribution Clean Up Project Support - Focused on enhancing the PIM system through comprehensive analysis and support. Key initiatives include:
Identifying redundant or unnecessary properties for removal
Streamlining picklist values, lists, assets, and EC
Revising and improving help text for clarity and consistency
Assisting in the refinement and enhancement of validation logics
Building and Maintaining PIM Data Dictionary
Developing and upholding a comprehensive PIM data dictionary to significantly improve the efficiency of the PIM team and user experience. This resource will accelerate troubleshooting efforts, streamline issue resolution, and provide clearer insight into data structure and usage.
Documentation and Maintenance System Support
Contributing to the creation of a scalable system for the continuous improvement and governance of documentation and standards.
Supporting in establishing a system to ensure ongoing maintenance
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
