Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system focused on reimagining healthcare. The Platforms Intern will support the Enterprise Data Services Layer initiative by improving data platform workflows and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize product development.
Responsibilities
Support the Enterprise Data Services Layer initiative by researching and identifying opportunities to improve consistency across data platform extraction, transformation, enrichment, and delivery workflows that promote interoperability through API-based integration patterns
Partner with product managers, engineering, analytics, and stakeholders to gather requirements, document findings, and support prioritization efforts
Analyze stakeholder feedback, integration testing results, and platform performance data to help inform product recommendations and optimization opportunities
Assist with Agile product development activities including backlog refinement, user story creation, sprint planning support, testing coordination, and initiative tracking
Create presentations, journey maps, process documentation, and stakeholder communications to support cross-functional alignment and healthcare digital transformation efforts
Qualification
Required
High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required
Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a bachelor's or master's degree program, or an equivalent non-collegiate professional program
Foundational understanding of product development lifecycles or Agile methodologies
