Nestlé is a leading consumer-packaged goods company with a rich portfolio of beloved brands. They are offering a paid summer internship in their Technical Applications Group, where interns will assist in the development and industrialization of new or reformulated products, providing technical assistance to various internal departments and interacting with factory staff and external vendors.
Responsibilities
Development of a new product, or reformulation of an existing product, that meets the specified guardrails with the goal of delighting the consumer.
Reformulation of a product(s) as needed to increase productivity/deliver cost savings, ensure supply or address consumer complaints.
Execute maintenance and capital projects including (scoping, bidding, executing, handling contractors, etc.)
Department initiative aimed at improving efficiency and consistency in systems, storage, information flow, information accessibility, etc.
Coordinate project start-ups and contractors.
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a BS or MS degree program in Food Science, Food Engineering, Bakery Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Completion of degree by Spring 2027 or near shortly after is preferred for undergraduates.
GPA of 3.0 and above preferred but not required
Analytical skills for data tracking and results analysis

Demonstrate outstanding learning capabilities
Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments

Strong communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral and written.
Willing to relocate for assignment in Arlington, VA
Willing to travel to factory locations throughout the nation as needed
