Responsibilities
Assist the Applications Engineering Department in developing self-help tools and other engineering projects
Interface with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to develop web-based tools to strengthen technical support for Parker’s Electromechanical products
Develop documentation for new tools
Other duties may be assigned as needed based on skills and requirements
Qualification
Required
Student entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of school in the Fall of 2026
Student majoring in Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent major)
Experience with LabView, Python, or equivalent programming language
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, lookups, conditional logic, charting; Power Query preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Access and querying relational data
Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT statements, JOINs, GROUP BY, basic data aggregation)
Willingness to learn and assist all Applications Engineering departments and disciplines
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude with passion for growth, can-do approach to obstacles
Able to work in a flexible and changing environment
