Zions Bancorporation is a financial services company involved in SBA lending, public finance advisory services, and agricultural finance. They are seeking an AI Product Specialist Intern to help internal customers leverage data for competitive advantages amidst the digital transformation in banking. The intern will engage in product management activities, conduct analyses, and develop strategies for AI/ML products.
Responsibilities
Perform SWOT, Cost/Benefit/ROI and other relevant analyses of existing channels through which the Data Science teams support front-line bankers and provide recommendations on next steps to maximize value and impact
Ideate and find Product-Market Fit for the MVP of AI/ML products
Develop a Go-To-Market Strategy for Data Science Products
Provide Product and Design leadership, with a focus on customer needs, access and entitlements management
Develop a deep understanding of our targeted users, their context, goals and needs
Provide strategic direction and oversight for user-centered designs (aka user experience research, user experience design, human-centered design, and more)
Define and deliver minimum viable products and promote test and learn methodologies for both design and development
Partner with technologists, affiliate banks and lines of business to ensure alignment on product plans and delivery
Develop full requirement documents and create product specifications
Partner with the agile product owner to ensure alignment with use case backlogs
Provide robust communication across the organization as appropriate
Conduct research on competitors and external market trends
Evaluate new opportunities, including customer engagement capabilities
Develop business cases or otherwise gain support for new opportunities
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled and working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or other related degree
Strong knowledge of technical product management or user experience research and design (aka UX R&D, human centered research and design, user centered design) and design principles
Ability to define a vision and successfully engage diverse stakeholders on the journey to achieve the vision
Experience with design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, XD
Ability to manage projects and think creatively
Excellent judgment and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Capability to drive results, is customer focused and able to think strategically
Excellent customer relationship skills
Highly analytical with strong technical acumen
