Vera Bradley is a company focused on creating stylish and functional products, and they are seeking a Global Sourcing Intern to support their Global Sourcing Manager. This internship role involves managing day-to-day sourcing activities, collaborating with overseas vendors, and assisting with product cost analysis and sample coordination.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate data entry and maintenance within Product Life Management software
Support the Global Sourcing Director & Managers with daily communication and coordination with overseas vendors
Participate in sourcing and cross-functional meetings as needed
Assist with product cost analysis, including reviewing and tracking cost components
Track, follow up, and coordinate product samples required by the business
Communicate and collaborate with the overseas Hong Kong office to support sourcing initiatives
Assist with general administrative and sourcing-related tasks as required
Acts as liaison between PD/Design, Merchants, and Vera Bradley Hong Kong (VBHK) teams
Partners with PD, Design and Merchants to manage key trigger dates/key deliverables and attend Product Review Sessions
Participates in production updates during cross-functional meetings and weekly review of open issues
Other Job responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required in Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills highly preferred) with advanced knowledge of Power Point
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced and growing environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Positive personality with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Willingness to work additional hours as business needs require
