They are seeking a Decision Science Product Intern to support the assessment of business needs and develop data-driven solutions, ultimately driving business value through technology and analytics.
Responsibilities
Support assessment of business needs, requirements gathering, solution design, delivery, testing, technology integration and user training for the Dine and Experience Revenue Management System
Supporting efforts to develop sophisticated yet efficient Tableau data visualizations for the client to support the decision-making process, as well as designing and building source data tables to improve visualization performance
Through polished presentations, deliver and effectively communicate key insights, findings, and recommendations in a concise, actionable, and efficient manner to stakeholders and leadership
Improve business processes and drive business value by leveraging technology, data analytics, and statistical modeling
Extract data for analysis, seek out answers to business problems, and look for opportunities to automate processes
Qualification
Required
Experience using Python, SQL and/or Tableau
Strategic problem-solving & analytical skills
Knowledge of database structure
Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to prioritize and set deadlines
Ability to clearly document code and processes so others can troubleshoot in the future
Experience collecting & analyzing data and reporting on the results
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of forecasting and optimization methods and techniques
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field including Computer Science, Computer Programming, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or other related quantitative field at an accredited college or university
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
Preferred
Experience in Food and Beverage industry
Knowledge of revenue management
Experience developing, troubleshooting, and scheduling Python code
Experience using dining reservation and table management systems
Able to work autonomously with little direction or guidance
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
