Kroger is a leading grocery retailer seeking current college students for their Summer 2026 Merchandising Internship. This 12-week program offers hands-on learning experiences and mentorship in the corporate merchandising function, allowing interns to contribute to meaningful projects and develop professional skills.
Responsibilities
Complete a 15 week program in a merchandising department working with a team to gain an understanding of the corporate merchandising function
Responsible for positively impacting Kroger's business and consumers by completing challenging and meaningful projects
Assist Merchandising group to achieve department goals and objectives
Complete specific internship assignments in a timely manner with the assistance of department managers
Communicate status updates and any potential issues to appropriate team members
Support Merchandising department and assist with activities of assigned department(s) including, but not limited to, end-to-end assortment, financials, analysis, and overall category strategy
Interpret data trends and apply own knowledge to inform business decisions
Participate and provide feedback at team meetings
Complete cumulative internship project (summary of accomplishments) and present to Merchandising leadership team

Qualification
Required
Open to all majors, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0
Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work

Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization
Managing multiple priorities between school, work or extra-curricular activities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Significant level of multi-tasking
Any professional/internship experience in a business-related field
Any specialized skillsets in any of the following areas: Contract Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Merchandising or CPG experience
