AeroVironment is a technology company specializing in unmanned aircraft systems and electric vehicle charging solutions. The Strategy & Market Intelligence Intern will support various projects focused on market and competitive intelligence analyses, pipeline forecasting, and data visualization.
Responsibilities
Support a variety of special projects leveraging internal and external data to assess market sizes and growth rates, the competitive landscape and AV’s market share, and US defense budget trends
Leverage analytics tools to evaluate large defense budget or contracts datasets
Develop recommendations to provide improved analytics solutions to support AV leadership decision making by overlaying and aligning internal and external datasets
Work with AV’s Growth Operations, BD teams, and management teams to create executive-ready dashboards in PowerBI, SplashBI, or Salesforce in support of long-range strategic and financial planning, pipeline analytics, and investment decisions.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, international affairs, or a STEM-related field
Experience using tools such as Python, Tableau, PowerBI to analyze and visualize large datasets
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel – lookups, if statements, conditional formatting, etc.)
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
Preferred
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in both written and verbal communications, particularly the ability to distill complex topics into concise professional memos or briefings
Vision to think beyond the immediate situation, explore multiple potential paths, and adapt decision-making style based on the situational circumstances
Exposure to US military organizations, programs, and technologies, and a broad understanding of the geostrategic landscape within which AV’s US and international customers operate
Exposure to a Salesforce-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform
