The Public Relations Intern will support community and public relations activities, including content creation, franchisee communications, research, editorial development, website updates, charitable initiatives, and marketing analysis.
Responsibilities
Assists with planning, writing, and publishing content intended for both the franchisee and external customer audience
Corresponds with the franchise network on general PR and community relations questions
Educates the franchise network about new and current PR support tools and content available for use on the franchisee intranet
Assists with writing franchisee and customer stories, conducting interviews and preparing editorial content for external release
Researches new PR tactics and competitor trends using informal and formal research techniques
Provides technology marketing with updated content for company website
Participates in Community Relations work supporting Corporate Social Responsibility charities
Helps with special projects, as needed
Performs analysis of key data and interprets findings for larger Marketing campaigns
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Must be a rising college junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 12 months
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and effectively engage with diverse audiences across multiple communication platforms
Knowledge of public relations skills, including writing and editing press releases and bylines, writing media pitches and public speaking
Ability to balance multiple projects and expectations, while meeting all deadlines
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work as changes occur
Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences (internal, external, franchisee, etc.)
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, think critically, ask questions, and provide creative ideas and feedback
Possess interest in supporting charitable causes
Preferred
2 years of undergraduate education in Public Relations, Marketing Communication, Digital Engagement and/or a related area of study
Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products preferred (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
