AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm delivering planning, design, engineering, and related professional services. The Planning Intern will support transportation, environmental planning, urban design, and public involvement professionals on regional planning projects through research, writing, visualization, public outreach, and data management.
Responsibilities
Assisting with report research, writing and setup
Visualization, mapping, and document design support
Support for in-person or virtual public outreach, including venue selection, minutes, and preparation of public-facing communications
Data management
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Studies, or another related discipline and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship

This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Philadelphia, PA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Philadelphia, PA on a scheduled basis
Preferred
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
