Primerica is a financial services company that offers financial education, products, and services to their clients. They are seeking a Communications and Outreach Intern to assist with various tasks related to social media, public education outreach campaigns, and internal communications, while developing skills in writing, stakeholder outreach, and media relations.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily tasks that track and record social media and news articles.
Work on communications-related activities on several of DEP’s major public education outreach campaigns.
Draft social media posts.
Identify opportunities to highlight DEP staff and initiatives.
Assist with internal communications coordination.
Capture and edit footage of DEP events.
Assist with press events.
Qualification
Required
Must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States per the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
All persons newly hired on or after September 1, 2011 have one year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain principal residence in the State of New Jersey subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70), also known as the 'New Jersey First Act'.
Preferred
Individuals enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university/college within communications, photography/video production, environmental studies, journalism, media relations, political science and/or public policy.
