CN is a premium railroad committed to safety and service, and they are seeking an Intern, Petroleum and Chemical Market Analyst. The role involves assisting the Sales and Marketing team with market research, analyzing customer needs, and supporting productivity improvements to grow CN's market share.
Responsibilities
Acquire a deep understanding of CN’s rail operations and find ways to leverage the network for new business opportunities
Review the nature and scope of segment and customer requirements
Assess market and modal competition, as well as service requirements
Undertake research related to corridor pricing structure and modal competition
Analyze large quantities of data and display in graphical formats
Find opportunities to implement Power BI to automate
Work closely with other members of the team to assess opportunities
Qualification
Required
Initiative, sound judgment and a willingness to accept responsibility with a minimum of direction
Applies critical thinking
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including databases, Power BI and Tableau
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle workload efficiently
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent
