CN is a premium railroad committed to safety and service, and they are seeking an Intern for their Domestic Intermodal Marketing team. The role involves market research and data analytics to support the team in expanding market share and understanding customer needs within the competitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer specific pricing and marketing activities, including contract and price application
  • Generate reports and collaborate in analysis
  • Assess market and modal competition, costs, service requirements, and equipment availability
  • Undertake research related to corridor pricing structure and modal competition
  • Participate in cross-functioning learning across CN’s business units

Qualification

Required

  • Ability to translate market information and trends into business decisions
  • Ability to identify key issues that affect CN's competitive position
  • Initiative, sound judgment, and accountability
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of reporting software Tableau
  • Ability to prioritize in an efficient manner
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent field

Preferred

  • Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
