TelevisaUnivision is the #1 network among U.S. and is seeking a dynamic senior year college student for a summer internship with their Corporate Communications team. The role offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, supporting various business initiatives while collaborating on content creation and communication strategies.
Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day work of the corporate communications team across several business units (Advertising and Marketing Sales, Distribution, U.S. Networks, ViX and more)
Assist in drafting and updating communication documents, including press releases, executive bios, fact sheets and beyond,, as well as content on the press site
Collaborate with the team on content for the company’s social media channels, including working with brand marketing team on visual assets, in addition to maintaining calendar with updates
Assist in developing communications plans for various corporate projects, programs and initiatives.
Maintain media lists, as well as media monitoring
Conduct research in support of projects and updating corporate materials (calendars, industry awards and events)
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution
Must be a rising senior
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build internal and external relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and collaborate in a team setting, as well as a self-starter who can work independently
Creative thinker with strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
High work standards and degree of attention to detail
Candidate is well informed, has a better-than-basic familiarity of industry topics, trends and events, and is a habitual consumer of news and media
Has a superior ability to form and express their ideas, both verbally and in writing, with clear thinking
Understands the corporate use of social media, and how these platforms are reshaping communications, as well as the threat they pose to trusted information
Is capable of critical thinking and examining content and issues isolated from personal or cultural bias. Seeks relevant input and is able to evolve opinions based on new and factual information
Candidate should be interested in making a positive impact – demonstrating a strong work ethic, confidence, resilience, grit, high integrity, personal values and ethics
