Bristol Myers Squibb is a company dedicated to transforming patients' lives through science. They are seeking a Communications and Operations intern to support various marketing and communication initiatives while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Developing targeted, compelling and effective communications messages
Managing projects, deadlines and priorities
Comfortable leveraging AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to research and support project deliverables
Supporting the engagement of the office planning, coordinating and executing events
Building relationships with internal and external constituents/stakeholders
Qualification
Required
College student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferably with a major in one of the functional areas: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related discipline
Intern must have professional writing, project management, marketing/advertising and public/media relations experience
Developing targeted, compelling and effective communications messages
Managing projects, deadlines and priorities
Comfortable leveraging AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to research and support project deliverables
Supporting the engagement of the office planning, coordinating and executing events
Building relationships with internal and external constituents/stakeholders
Candidate must be a creative thinker with great attention to detail
Broad and thorough knowledge of the marketing and communication functions
Ability to manage complex and multifaceted projects that involve various levels of stakeholders
Expertise to create using a variety of different mediums and for diverse audiences
Experience specifically with social media and writing for the web
Highly proficient in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft and Adobe applications
Team player with excellent writing, superior grammar, organizational, and planning skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain excellent internal/external relationships
Ability to understand and translate needs into creative and impactful communications
Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
Poised with strong customer-service skills and able to work independently under general supervision
Flexible, upbeat, energetic self-starter who enjoys collaboration with a wide variety of constituencies
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment
Preferred
Graphic design is a plus
