Peet's Coffee is a beloved regional brand on a journey to become a national icon. As a CPG Innovation & Insights Intern, you will help identify new product ideas targeting younger consumers by analyzing trends and consumer behavior, while gaining hands-on experience in innovation and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-store visits and competitive analysis to identify emerging food and beverage trends
Conduct consumer and trend research using a mix of traditional methods and AI-enabled tools to gather, synthesize, and analyze insights
Analyze market data to assess the size, attractiveness, and strategic fit of innovation opportunities
Build a strong understanding of Peet’s brand, portfolio, and innovation approach
Synthesize your learnings into clear recommendations on the top ideas we should pursue
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field (e.g., Business, Economics, Social Sciences, or Psychology)
Enrolled as a full time or part-time student at a California University/College
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data and research
Able to synthesize information and communicate clear, structured ideas (written and verbal)
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Naturally curious about how and why people choose products, with an interest in understanding consumer behavior
Interested in emerging food and beverage trends
Open to feedback and eager to learn
