Alcon is the global leader in eye care, dedicated to advancing eye health worldwide. They are seeking a motivated summer intern to support their Public Relations/Communications team, offering hands-on experience with global campaigns, product launches, and strategic storytelling.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and rollout of integrated global communication campaigns that support strategic initiatives across franchises and innovation platforms.
Support content creation and delivery across multiple channels (e.g., intranet, email, social media, web, video), ensuring alignment with audience needs and business objectives.
Contribute to messaging and materials for new product launches, including internal toolkits and external-facing assets.
Help manage editorial calendars, draft employee communications, and support internal engagement initiatives tied to Franchise, Innovation, R&D, and Digital Health priorities.
Assist in drafting press releases, media statements, and social media content that highlight innovation and thought leadership.
Monitor media coverage and social sentiment around key campaigns and launches; compile insights to inform strategy and improve future communications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, R&D, Digital, and corporate functions to ensure consistent messaging and timely execution.
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
Must be pursuing at least a bachelor’s level degree in Public Relations, Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism or related major.
