Aflac is a leading insurance company based in Columbus, GA, looking for a 2026 Summer Brand Intern. The intern will shadow the CMO, support key marketing initiatives, and lead a real business project while collaborating across teams to enhance marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
Shadow the CMO: Observe and learn from daily leadership activities, strategic meetings, and decision-making processes.
Support Key Initiatives: Assist with projects across brand, creative, and digital teams.
Lead a Real Business Project: Work on an assigned marketing brief throughout the summer and present your recommendations to Aflac executives at the end of the internship.
Collaborate Across Teams: Gain exposure to cross-functional marketing disciplines and understand how they work together to drive results.
Engage: Share insights on how generative AI and automation can enhance marketing workflows.
Innovate: Introduce fresh ideas for leveraging technology in creative development and campaign execution.
Performs assigned duties under the direction of experienced personnel to gain knowledge and experience in preparation for full time professional opportunities within the Information Technology division.
Provides assistance and works on specific projects in the following areas: computer operations, programming, software development/applications, analysis, and hardware; may assist with ad hoc projects related to the industry, and/or business unit processes.
Collects, organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports for management; assist team in identifying process improvements.
Continuously develops technical, analytical, project management, leadership, presentation, and other business skills by involvement in strategic projects and work assignments.
Receives training and performs duties in Information Technology to become familiar with division functions, operations, management skills or style, and company policies and practices affecting each phase of business.
Observes experienced personnel to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties.
Participates in roundtable feedback discussions to interact with other participants and to offer program improvement ideas.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualification
Required
Current undergraduate student (junior or senior) or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Strong interest in brand strategy, creative marketing, and leadership.
Comfort and curiosity with AI and emerging tech—you use it, you understand it, and you can teach us how to think differently.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
