Textron Inc. is a multi-industry company known for its innovative defense technologies and services. The Communications Co-op will support employee-facing corporate communications activities, helping to communicate key projects and strategies to employee audiences across multiple channels.
Responsibilities
Broadly support internal communications across the Textron Systems segment
Serve as employee communications point of contact for internal stakeholder teams as assigned
Deliver high-impact, innovative communications, partnering with cross-functional team members in a coordinated approach while always ensuring consistency of messaging
Support the planning and rollout of campaign messaging efforts across channels
Manage employee communications channels including intranet, newsletters and digital signage
Work across the Strategic Communications & Creative group to develop materials that advance key objectives and translate project concepts into easy-to-understand graphs, charts & other visuals
Support achievement and reporting of corporate and team key performance indicators
Actively contribute to other projects or special programs and support cross-functional initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
Exemplary writing, editing and presentation skills
Experience with employee communications, social media and/or content development
Strong detail orientation, project planning and execution skills
Action-oriented self-starter
Ability to engage with colleagues across the business, from our shop floors to our executive team, with confidence and competence
Resourceful problem solver
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in Canva
This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
