The Packaging Sustainability Data & Compliance Intern will contribute to packaging sustainability initiatives by enhancing data integrity and regulatory readiness while gaining hands-on experience in a global healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
Review and validate packaging materials, weights, and classifications
Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and duplicate entries
Standardise naming conventions and units of measure
Distinguish between estimated and verified inputs
Summarise findings and support documentation updates
Organise and maintain packaging material weight datasets
Apply established emission factors and document assumptions
Support updates to carbon calculation tools
Prepare comparison summaries for year‑on‑year reporting
Develop structured supplier information request templates
Collect packaging‑related environmental data (e.g., recycled content, manufacturing location, product footprint info where available)
Track response rates and evaluate data completeness
Consolidate and organise supporting documents
Map existing packaging data against upcoming regulatory expectations
Identify missing data attributes and documentation needs
Build structured trackers to monitor regulatory preparation
Support organisation of recyclability and compliance evidence
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM subject
Strong analytical and organisational skills
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Proficiency in Excel and data handling
Clear written and communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively
