SpartanNash is a food solutions company operating across wholesale grocery distribution, retail, and supply chain services. The Supply Chain Slotting Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting slotting analysis, data cleanup and validation, operations analytics, process improvement, and a defined slotting improvement project while collaborating with warehouse and corporate leaders.
Responsibilities
Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department
Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency
Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights
Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates and methodologies
Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities
Develop positive professional relationships across departments
Complete special projects as assigned by your manager
Complete an end-of-internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives
Perform data cleanup, validation, slotting analysis, and operations analytics while supporting a defined slotting improvement project and ongoing site operational needs
Work with a variety of business partners including Slotting Managers, Warehouse and Corporate Leadership
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program from an accredited college or university
Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at the time of the internship
Currently majoring in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics or similar programs
Strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Effective communicators, both verbally and in writing
Able to think outside of the box and solve problems
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Curious, and bring initiative and willingness to learn and contribute

Preferred
In good academic standing
