ProPetro is hiring a Supply Chain AI Intern to support its Supply Chain Department’s category management, procurement, and digital transformation initiatives. The intern will apply AI and data tools to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of AI-driven tools to improve supply chain processes (e.g., sourcing, spend analysis, contract management, and procurement operations)
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process inefficiencies
Assist in building, testing, and documenting AI agents and automation workflows (e.g., for purchase order management, supplier follow-ups, and reporting)
Collaborate with Category Managers and Buyers to streamline sourcing and procurement activities
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms
Support integration of AI solutions into existing systems (e.g., Coupa, Microsoft 365, or other internal platforms)
Assist with documentation of processes, workflows, and AI use cases for scalability and training purposes
Provide an end-of-program presentation demonstrating project outcomes, insights, and business impact
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Must be enrolled in a BS/MS in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or other closely related field
Must have experience or coursework involving AI/ML concepts, data analytics, or supply chain principles
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.); experience building AI Agents required
Has attention to detail; well organized
Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization
