E.L.F. BEAUTY is a cosmetics brand that offers professional makeup and beauty products to customers. They are seeking a Master Data Intern to assist in data management and analytics, ensuring data integrity and supporting important business decisions through analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Data Maintenance: Assist in maintaining data integrity across various corporate master and transactional data sets
Data Profiling: Conduct data quality assessments and cleansing to ensure that data meets business needs and adheres to established standards
Process Documentation: Document processes, issues, and resolutions to improve data management practices and ensure knowledge transfer
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with teams across different hubs to align master data practices and engage with internal stakeholders globally
Data Governance: Support the development and implementation of data governance and management practices across the organization
Analytics Support: Assist in data analysis projects, providing insights to support business decisions
Qualification
Required
Currently a rising Junior/Senior enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university
Ability to commit to up to 40 hours per week from early June to late August
Ability to commute to the Oakland office in a hybrid modality for the duration of the internship
Ability and willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones, including connections with the New York office and the Shanghai team
Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, functions, visualization, macros) and other data manipulation tools (SQL and Python)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas clearly and build relationships with partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Knowledge of data science, machine learning, or data mining is a plus
Statistical knowledge and the ability to apply it to real-world problems
