SAP is a global leader in enterprise software, and they are seeking an iXp Intern for their Applied AI team. In this role, you will support engineering initiatives across AI, data, and integration operations, contributing to projects like anomaly detection, predictive insights, and AI-powered document intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze integration logs and transaction patterns to detect anomalies or recurring failure trends
  • Support development of intelligent alerting mechanisms
  • Help generate actionable insights from historical integration data
  • Explore predictive models to forecast transaction failures, delays, or compliance risks
  • Assist in evaluating model performance and improving prediction quality
  • Work with domain experts to interpret model outputs into business insights
  • Support development of AI assistants that help users troubleshoot integration issues
  • Assist in creating knowledge retrieval workflows to answer user queries
  • Contribute to improving reasoning, summarization, and recommendation logic
  • Explore emerging AI/ML techniques relevant to enterprise integration
  • Prototype intelligent automation use cases
  • Present findings and proof-of-concepts to product or engineering teams
  • Help improve accuracy of document mapping and validation processes
  • Explore automated schema mapping and semantic alignment techniques
  • Assist in reducing manual configuration effort using AI-driven suggestions

Qualification

Required

  • Min. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, with strong motivation to learn through hands-on industry experience
  • Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor's, master's or JD/PhD program
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and a willingness to learn how real-world engineering, integration, and delivery processes work in practice
  • Exposure to collaboration and development tools and basic scripting (Python and/or JavaScript), with interest in deepening practical usage
  • Experience working on student projects, internships, or academic teams, demonstrating the ability to collaborate, take feedback, and contribute reliably to shared goals
  • A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented mindset, with openness to guidance and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • A genuine interest in innovation, collaboration, and customer impact, and the adaptability to learn and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills
