Republic Airways is an airline operating scheduled passenger service through major airline partner brands. The Safety Intern will support the Safety department by analyzing data, identifying trends, assisting with process improvement and emergency response procedures, and participating in operational risk assessments.
Responsibilities
Observe Safety department meetings
Analyze Safety data
Identify trends in data and present findings to senior management
Research data to assist in process improvement for any interfacing departments
Understand company emergency response procedures and assist in improvement of existing procedures
Participate in operational risk assessments
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aviation Management, Operational Analysis/ Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or similar field of study
Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
Strong analytical skills
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation
Able to maintain confidentiality
Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results
