Hinge is an internet company focused on fostering genuine relationships through their dating app. They are seeking a User Experience (UX) Research Intern to lead accessibility-focused research projects and contribute to product decisions that enhance user experiences for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
Design and execute research studies aimed at understanding and improving the user experience for daters with disabilities
Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to define key research questions and methodologies
Apply and expand your knowledge of UX research methods (e.g., usability testing, surveys, interviews, concept testing)
Synthesize findings into clear, compelling, and actionable insights
Share research outcomes to build empathy and influence decision-making across Hinge teams
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) related to accessibility, disability studies or a related field—or have equivalent professional experience in disability advocacy or accessible design
Passionate about accessibility, inclusive design, and creating better experiences for people with disabilities
Familiar with mixed methods research, including both qualitative (e.g., interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, experimental design) approaches
Eager to learn from a collaborative and mission-driven team
Enthusiastic about creative and effective ways to share and communicate research insights to different audiences
