Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc. is a national housing lender specializing in the financing of new modular and manufactured homes. The Reporting Analyst Internship offers hands-on experience in creating reports, forecasts, and dashboards while providing an opportunity to learn about the company's operations and gain valuable professional skills.
Responsibilities
Create and produce visually appealing forecasts, reports ad hoc requests and dashboards, leveraging centrally managed reporting tools, such as, Tableau and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Develop and maintain a Licensing Repository by creating a comprehensive data dictionary that documents fields used for previous exams and questions.
Conduct Dashboard Remediation, ensuring that all existing dashboards comply with VMF Reporting Standards, including formatting dashboards to standard specifications, and adding headers, footers, information buttons, and notes for clarity and user guidance.
Create and maintain the Vanderbilt Data Dictionary for the VMF schema within EDWRPT, ensuring consistent and accurate documentation of data definitions and structures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
A Junior or Senior enrolled in a Business Analytics Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program.
Computer competency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, formulas and features.
Building and manipulation of queries for data analysis.
Great attention to detail and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage time effectively.
Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions.
Manage multiple deadlines, complete tasks timely and follow up as needed.
Must be professional, well organized, thorough, committed, urgent and a resourceful problem solver.
Ability to manage multiple duties with a sense of urgency.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external customers via phone, email and fax.
Ability to present findings visually using graphs, charts, or dashboards to communicate effectively.
Ability to work in a team environment.
