Thermo Fisher Scientific is a company dedicated to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. They are seeking a Quality Specialist - Data Analysis Sr. Intern to ensure data quality and provide insights through data analysis, focusing on improvements in quality metrics.
Responsibilities
Extract, clean, and analyze quality metrics data from various sources
Build and manage dashboards for displaying key performance metrics and quality data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and validation checks
Present findings and recommendations to team members through clear and concise reports and visualizations
Automate data collection and reporting processes to improve efficiency
Stay updated with industry standard methodologies and emerging trends in data analysis and visualization
Qualification
Required
Pursuing Master's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Must graduate between December 2026 - June 2027
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database management
Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status
Preferred
Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus
