Entergy is a leading electric utility company, and they are seeking a Power Delivery Fall 2026 Intern. This internship will provide hands-on experience in improving the planning, scheduling, dispatching, execution, and reporting of electric utility work while supporting operational excellence and data analytics.
Responsibilities
Assist with analysis of work management data, operational metrics, and business processes
Support development of dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership
Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on planning, scheduling, dispatching, and field execution
Help identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve operational performance
Document business processes, standard operating procedures, and workflow improvements
Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of new technology and system enhancements
Support meetings by preparing agendas, documenting action items, and tracking project progress
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Design, Reliability, and Information Technology teams on cross-functional initiatives
Perform research and benchmarking to identify industry best practices
Complete special projects and other assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Or a related field
Sophomore standing or higher preferred
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Experience using Excel for data analysis and visualization
Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
Experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, or similar analytical tools is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
