The Part-Time Student in Data Analytics will manage component allocation, explore analytical problems, prepare data for dashboards, create analysis tools, and maintain data integrity in business software.
Responsibilities
Manages all of the component allocation for Waterloo, which is critical for inventory accuracy and material replenishment.
Explores new analytical problems and develop creative solutions using data and analytics
Ingests, evaluates, and prepares data for use in dashboards and solutions
Creates analysis tools and dynamic visualizations to accelerate insight generation for our customers
Maintains and monitors data in business software (SAP), to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Understanding of Microsoft Excel
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to learn new skills
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or another business degree; others may apply
Ability to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
Preferred
Understanding of Power BI, VBA, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, or other coding and business analytics tools
