Tractor Supply Company is the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States. The 11-week IT Summer Internship provides students with hands-on experience in a specific area of information technology, including software engineering, data and analytics, infrastructure and cloud technologies, information security, technical support, or project management. Interns apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges and contribute to technology initiatives alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware, software, and technology issues while supporting end users and business operations
Software Development: Support software development projects through coding, testing, debugging, and application enhancements
Data & Analytics: Assist with data analysis, reporting, and identifying insights that support business decisions
Infrastructure Management: Gain exposure to network infrastructure and server administration tasks, including maintenance and monitoring
Information Security: Support cybersecurity initiatives and gain exposure to processes designed to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks
Project & Process Support: Collaborate with IT and cross-functional partners on technology projects, process improvements, documentation, and strategic initiatives
Learning & Development: Actively participate in opportunities to expand technical knowledge, business acumen, and professional skills
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related fields
Foundational understanding of technology concepts, systems, software, or programming relevant to the area of interest
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work with new technologies and tools
Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship
