American National is an insurance company that provides life insurance, health insurance, and auto insurance services. They are seeking a motivated Data Analytics Intern to support various projects and initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources
Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data insights
Support the team in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support
Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
Must hold a Junior standing or higher (May 2025 grads are welcome)
Must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be able to commit to working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday
Must be able to work on-site in the posted location for the role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python
Preferred
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus
