Responsibilities
Apply the frontier of econometric and economic methods to Amazon’s data and intriguing customer problems
Build data sets and perform applied econometric analysis to inform real-world business decisions
Collaborate with economists, scientists, and product managers
Inform the design of Stores' fundamentals across delivery speed, selection, and pricing
Develop new strategies and innovations to accelerate Amazon Japan's customer growth and engagement
Qualification
Required
PhD student in Economics (enrolled in 3rd year or more and not currently on the job market)
Preferred
Knowledge of applied econometrics and demand modeling
Experience working with large data sets
Attention to detail
Experience with R/Python
Experience with SQL
