IFF is a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, committed to supporting the next generation of data scientists and data engineers. The summer intern will participate in efforts to extract, organize and store data sets used to develop predictive models, and may also develop and validate predictive models or custom scripts to support scientists.
Responsibilities
Support efforts to secure high value research data in R&D databases. This may involve custom scripting to extract information from data sets, ensure data integrity, upload and transform data, and establish mechanisms to view and analyze new or newly connected data
Writing custom scripts to improve the efficiency of scientific workflow, especially in the practice of everyday experiments
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computational Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field.
Have completed your sophomore year of undergrad education and will continue your education in the fall.
High level of initiative and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary scientific setting.
A passion to learn from data, and support others in that quest
Preferred
Preferably, experience in one or multiple computational languages or frameworks such as: Python, HTML, Linux, R, Javascript, React, Flask, Django, Shiny, D3, REST, or SQL
