DrFirst is an innovative Health IT company focused on improving patient outcomes through technology solutions. The intern will support data collection and preparation for statistical analyses, while gaining hands-on experience in data science techniques and statistical study design.
Responsibilities
Assist in the collection, verification, and management of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Prepare datasets for statistical analysis, including cleaning, transforming, and structuring data according to project requirements.
Provide logistical support in the design and implementation of statistical analyses under the guidance of senior statisticians.
Help in the development and testing of statistical models according to study designs.
Participate in regular training sessions and meetings to understand the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for statistical tasks.
Shadow experienced statisticians to learn about the end-to-end process of statistical studies, from conceptualization to execution.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
Document processes and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and transparency within the team.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree program in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of statistical methods and their applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Keen interest in learning more about statistical analysis and data science.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain complex information in an understandable way.
Preferred
Experience with a programming language (e.g., R, Python)
