The Business Intelligence Intern is responsible for completing descriptive analytical reports and dashboards to drive business decisions and strategy, impacting all areas of ArcBest and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements and design functional specifications based on findings for BI solutions and estimate effort needed
Work with stakeholders to document user requirements for data, dashboards, and reports
Design, develop, deploy, and document enterprise business intelligence solutions that leverage common data architecture and data optimization approaches
Test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and improve performance on business intelligence artifacts
Collaborate with and support business analysts throughout the enterprise on best practice analytics strategies and techniques
Participate in special projects
Utilize offered training opportunities with assigned trainer, self-study and offered courses
Other duties and projects, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Analytics or a related field
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, SQL and Power BI, required
Preferred
Prior experience or coursework in data modeling, requirements analysis, business analysis, data storytelling and visualization, preferred
Knowledge of relational and multidimensional database designs, warehousing processes and designs, various business intelligence platforms, and software development technologies (Visual Studio preferred)
