Leidos is a leader in technology serving government and commercial customers, and they are seeking an Epidemiology and Data Management Intern to support projects related to injuries in service members. The role involves generating datasets for statistical analyses, communicating results, and assisting with research proposals and regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
Support generation and preparation of datasets for statistical analyses, develop and test research hypotheses, identify and conduct appropriate statistical analyses such as multiple regression, analysis of variance/covariance, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses
Effectively communicate processes and results (verbally, graphically, and in writing) for project leads
Support the development of research proposals, research protocols, presentations, technical reports, and publications
Assist with regulatory documentation including agreements and the maintenance of research protocols related to funded research projects
Assist with review of published literature and government technical communications. Summarize and communicate findings to be used in grant applications and during dissemination of research

Required
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA (some telework allowable upon approval from the government customer)
Active enrollment in a graduate program in public health or a related field
Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication skills, critical thinking skills. Demonstration of creativity and original solutions for problem-solving. Demonstrate attention to detail in tasking
Experience working in a research setting
