They are offering a Summer 2026 internship for students to support data preparation, model development, and research in artificial intelligence and machine learning for healthcare applications.
Responsibilities
Support business unit in data preparation
Model development and support ongoing projects
Conduct advanced research and engineering for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions for healthcare-related topics to support the development of a machine learning pipeline
Work with large-scale healthcare datasets to develop and test your ML models
Take advantage of models developed internally and/or available from the community to solve research problems in healthcare
Work closely with the AI research team and clinical team to transfer your proof-of-concept research prototypes into meaningful features within our products
Specific internship projects will be identified based on the candidate's strengths and interests, as well as business need
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment as a student at an accredited university for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Biomedical Engineering
Ability to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (May/June 2026 - Aug 2026)
Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent)
Strong interest in pursuing relevant industry experience
Experience with data science or building machine learning models including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Model (LLM) is required
Experience with Python required
Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future
Preferred
Junior or Senior standing, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Biomedical Engineering
Technical writing skills
Highly effective communication skills
Interest in pursuing healthcare and/or medical device industry experience
