They are seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to work with large-scale datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop data-driven insights for satellite communications products and services.
Responsibilities
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
Develop and validate statistical models to support forecasting, optimization, and performance analysis
Support data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to answer key business questions
Document methodologies and present findings to team members and leadership
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in: Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
To be eligible for this position your final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and August 2027
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis
Experience with SQL for querying relational databases
Experience using data manipulation libraries such as NumPy, pandas, or Polars
Coursework or project experience in statistics, machine learning, or data mining
You must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program
Preferred
Experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
Exposure to big data tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
Experience working with network/telemetry data
Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly
