Jacobs is a leading company in engineering solutions, seeking a Data Science Intern to contribute to NASA’s pursuits in deep space exploration. The role involves developing models for risk analysis and applying machine learning and data science skills to support exploration projects on the Moon and Mars.
Responsibilities
Work with computer scientists and engineers to develop models to calculate risk analysis
Support work that applies risk-bounded planning for human planetary exploration
Develop code that supports concept development for robotic and human exploration on the Moon or Mars
Utilize machine learning, artificial intelligence, autonomy research, coding, and data science skills
Qualification
Required
Intern pursuing BS degree
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Preferred
Graduate student (MS or PhD) in a STEM field
Graduate student (MS or PhD) in computer science, AI, software engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering
