Colgate-Palmolive Company is a global consumer products company specializing in various sectors including Pet Nutrition. The Data Migration and Analytics Intern will support data modeling, collection, and documentation while collaborating with supply chain and analytics teams to enhance data processes and visualization.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and structure data models that support business requirements.
Design and implement data models using SQL within Snowflake and BigQuery to facilitate efficient data analysis and reporting.
Assist in planning and executing data collection and transformation activities using SQL and Google Apps Script, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Support data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes to maintain data integrity and consistency.
Document data processes, models, and transformation workflows to ensure clarity and reproducibility.
Maintain comprehensive records of data sources, transformations, and methodologies.
Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using CP tools (e.g., DOMO, Looker Studio).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their visualization needs and deliver actionable insights.
Provide training and support to end-users on effectively using the dashboards and reports.
Identify opportunities to automate analytics processes and reporting using SQL in Snowflake and Google Apps Script.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Monitor and maintain automated processes to ensure they operate smoothly.
Support the development and maintenance of Pet Studio in DOMO, also focusing on media management of analytics shown in HQ monitors.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Must be available to work hybrid at our Overland Park, KS office location throughout the entire internship Tuesdays and Wednesdays
This position requires a 8-month commitment (~May-December)
Must be available to work 15 hours/week during the academic semester and 40 hours/week during the summer
Experience with visualisation tools such as DOMO, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar.
Basic understanding of data modelling concepts and ETL processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
